Friday, May 20 we are releasing the topic for our second annual Film Festival. Students have 2 weeks to make a short film around this topic and the top 3 winners get cash prizes! We will screen the films and announce winners at an event on June 11th.
Participants must make a short film (10 mins or less) in response to a theme, which will be announced on May 20th. Timeline: -May 20th: theme announced -June 7th: submissions due -June 11th: screening of top films and announcing top 3 winners, who will receive cash prizes! This event will be hosted at Berkeley Rep's School of Theatre (2071 Addison Street) on Saturday, June 11 from 6PM-9PM. It will also be live-streamed. This event is free to sign up for and free to attend. Food and drinks will be provided. We are offering free filmmaking workshops leading up to the event, for which you can sign up through the link in our instagram bio (@berkeleyrepteencouncil). Berkeley Rep is a vaccinated company. You will need to bring proof of vaccination to attend the Film Festival event (this includes a booster shot for those who are eligible).
