American Civil Liberties Union: Opportunity for Students
The ACLU needs your help to identify a diverse group of extraordinary students for the 2020 National Advocacy Institute! The Institute will now take place virtually from July 20-24. Our online program will still give students unique opportunities to explore important social justice and civil liberties, and form a network with other young activists from across the country.
To learn more about the ACLU Advocacy Institute, we invite you to join our upcoming webinar this Friday, 5/29 at 4:00 PM EST: Privacy and Education Equality and COVID-19 – a part of our webinar series on Covid-19 and Civil Liberties! You can learn more here or register today to reserve your spot.
Program Overview: Led by ACLU lawyers, advocates, and other experts, sessions will cover a range of topics, including grassroots organizing, mobilizing issue-based advocacy campaigns, growing a team, identifying a strategy for engaging with policy-makers, and maximizing impact for meaningful issues.
