LIT Leaders Summit next Thursday November 3rd from 4-6:30PM at Asian Health Services Library at 101 8th Street Oakland, CA.
ABOUT THE LIT LEADERS PROGRAM
LIT Leaders is a combination program of AHSYP's LIT and Peer Leaders, focusing on providing youth and young adults with the opportunity to learn about substance use, health policy, and the ways those impact young people and communities of color in the Bay Area (particularly Alameda County). Through 16 workshops, interns have been able to learn about substance use, cannabis, and public health from professionals such as physicians, public health consultants, activists, artists, and other community leaders.
ABOUT THE SUMMIT
At the November 3rd Summit, 16 youth interns will present on their research on cannabis use and local communities both in-person and online. The event will feature the opportunity for community organizations to table, share resources, lead activities, and more. We are also looking to share the space with the goal of presenting to 208 youth ages 12-25 (13 youth participants per leader).
There will be FREE food, drinks, and swag provided! All youth participants ages 12-25 who attend will receive a $15 gift card while supplies last. Please let me know if you have any questions for me and if your organization would be interested in tabling! In Community, Danielle Miguel
