Asian Health Services - Youth Opportunities

A list of the services AHSYP provides include:

  • Comprehensive & Inclusive Sex Education for Private & Charter High Schools

    • Sessions cover topics that include: Anatomy & Physiology, Contraception, Emergency Contraception, Abortion, STIs, HIV/AIDS, Queer Identities, Healthy & Unhealthy Relations, Mental Health, Personal Hygiene, and more.

  • Health Education Workshops for Middle Schools, High Schools, Colleges, and Organizations

  • FREE sexual and mental health services at our weekly Youth Clinic

    • In-Person & Telemed Appointments | 1st & 3rd Tuesdays 5-7PM | 817 Harrison St. Oakland, CA

    • Telemed Appointments | 2nd & 4th Tuesdays 3-5PM

  • Youth Program Internship (APPLY AT:

    • Focused on three areas: Health & Wellness, Advocacy, & Public Relations & Design)

  • Programs for High School & College Aged Youth (REGISTER AT:

    • IWAY (Mental Health & Wellness | $60 in Gift Cards)

    • Peer Leaders (Health & Medicine | $100 in Gift Cards)

    • GLOW (Peer Education on HIV, HCV, & Substance Use | $150 in Gift Cards)

    • #REPRESENT (Media, Identity, & Social Wellness | $60 in Gift Cards)

    • WINGS (Narrative & Storytelling | $60 in Gift Cards)

    • Cross Cultural Solidarity Committee (Advocacy Workshops for Youth and Youth Allies)

While we serve everyone, our priority at AHSYP is to provide resources for youth from marginalized backgrounds (low-income youth of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, students in under-resourced schools, etc.) If you know anyone who can benefit from our programs and services, please share this email with them! We are still accepting folks to participate in our programs and are looking for schools to partner up with for sex education classes this semester and classes/organizations/clubs for health education workshops.
