ABOUT DEAR ASIAN YOUTH SF:
Dear Asian Youth San Francisco is a student-led nonprofit organization in San Francisco that strives to empower Asian youth to be proud of their heritage, increase political engagement through education, and push our narrative in a world that often overlooks the unique issues we face. In the past two and a half years, Dear Asian Youth San Francisco has organized various community events around the city, collaborating with local organizations to coordinate successful initiatives for community bonding. Aside from community events, Dear Asian Youth SF also focuses on advocacy efforts, organizing a city-wide advocacy event and meeting with various legislators and offices at City Hall, later receiving a Certificate of Honor from the Board of Supervisors.
WHY APPLY FOR THE BOARD?
Over the past year and a half, Dear Asian Youth SF has built a large community of active youth from all over the city. We have many more plans to continue increasing engagement in our community moving forward and to help our expansion, we’re eager to bring in more passionate youth into our team. You can join us in our mission to increase youth activism and political engagement while working with a dedicated team of other passionate youth.
