Birth Control Research

HRA Pharma is in the final stages of its research required by the FDA to make a birth control pill available over the counter (OTC) in the United States, and they need just 10 more teens aged 11-14 for the pivotal FDA research!

It is critical that teens aged 11-14 be included in this research for an OTC pill to be available to people of all ages. Making birth control pills available over the counter for people of all ages will ensure that young people, who face some of the biggest barriers to birth control access, are not left out when the pill becomes available OTC.

It is also critical to avoiding an unnecessary and harmful ID requirement for an OTC pill that would affect people of all ages and result in new and unintended barriers, including for young people, undocumented people, and the millions who don’t have a government ID.
