As part of the 2021 Life is Living pre-fest curation, Edutainment for Equity will kick off a new season of EBC events with the legendary scholar and educator Dr. Gloria Ladson Billings on Friday, 9/17. Dr. Billings istheauthor of numerous books including The Dreamkeepers; Successful Teachers of African American Children, Crossing Over to Canaan; The Journey of New Teachers in Diverse Classrooms, and Culturally Relevant Teaching in Education. Her research examines teacher practices that are successful with African American students. She also specializes in Critical Race Theory. Dr. Billings is a global expert in the education of Black children.
