Empowering Black Youth Program [STEM & Art]


Empowering Black Youth Program is a 16 to 17 Week Program that intersects STEM and Art to develop multimedia content for five years—allowing direct engagement through interactive learning to produce content with different cohorts from 2021-2025. 2023 will be Code Tenderloin third cohort working with ten Black youth throughout San Francisco age ranges 13-24 to develop a podcast series focusing on sexual and reproductive health, public health, policy, community engagement and issues affecting Black youth locally. The Empowering Black Youth Program has had two successful cohorts' year 1 2021 developed a public health tool kit, and cohort 2 2022 developed public health short films.
