The San Francisco Historical Society announced its third annual Fracchia Prize essay contest, co-sponsored with San Francisco City Guides. It is open to any student attending a high school in San Francisco. Interested candidates are required to submit an original and properly cited written work consisting of between 1,200 and 1,600 words, based on the prompt, which is civic monuments. The top three essay winners will receive cash prizes, including $2,500 for first place, along with publication of their essays. Need inspiration?
