HandsOn Tomorrow - Leadership, Program Management, and Community Volunteerism

Updated: Mar 20

I’d like to introduce myself, my name is Alexandra Carter. I am the Youth Programs Coordinator at HandsOn Bay Area, a local non-profit that aims to support people by connecting them with volunteer opportunities in their community.

I am reaching out to let you know about our upcoming summer leadership and volunteering program, HandsOn Tomorrow, designed for incoming freshmen to seniors. This two-week program will provide participants with tools to become better community leaders while generating up to 55 volunteer hours that can be added to their college applications, resumes, and the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). Additionally, students will be given resources to confidently develop a service project in an impact area such as hunger, housing insecurity, the environment, and more.

The San Francisco cohort will meet in-person from July 22nd - Aug 3rd, Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm. HandsOn Tomorrow is perfect for students interested in leadership, program management, and community volunteerism. If you know a student who may be interested in this program, please refer them to our website; there are incentives for students who apply early.

We would also be happy to table at any career/summer camp fair your school/district may be hosting. If you have any information about possible tabling opportunities, please let me know.

Learn more about the program on our website. If you have any additional questions about HandsOn Tomorrow, please reach out!
