Launch Coders–a non-profit organization with the mission of increasing accessibility to computer science education through free summer and afterschool programs that are run by students, for students. Since 2020, we have had over 40 instructors conduct classes for 210 kids all across California. We would love to invite any students who are interested in being instructors to join Launch Coder’s teaching team for our upcoming 2021 Fall Session!
Over the course of our 5 week program (10/31-12/11), teachers will meet with students (4th-8th graders) twice a week for two hour-long classes. During this time, the instructor will run their class of around 4-5 students, through a series of programs, games, and activities all centered around the fundamentals of coding. They would also get the chance to meet and get to know the rest of the team at weekly all-team meetings, where we’ll debrief the previous week’s classes and prepare instructors for the upcoming week.
We believe all students deserve to have access and exposure to a computer science education.
