Participate in the Power of Nature Youth Art Contest


Calling high schoolers in the San Francisco Bay Area to showcase climate solutions inspired by nature through ART! Submit your artwork by April 1, 2022!

Greenbelt Alliance, in partnership with the Bay Area Youth Climate Summit (BAYCS), is proud to present the Power of Nature Youth Art Contest, a regional exhibit to showcase nature-based solutions to climate change throughout the Bay Area. Are you interested in expressing your point of view through art or know someone who is? We are looking for compelling artwork that demonstrates nature-based solution concepts as a way to address environmental challenges. Three winners will be selected and announced during Earth Week* and will be featured in multiple promotional campaigns that will reach thousands of people. To participate, you must be a high school student in the San Francisco Bay Area**. Read the guidelines and submit your artwork by April 1, 2022! The Power of Nature Youth Art Contest is for you (or for someone you know) if you:

  • Understand the urgency of the climate crisis and want to be part of the solution in your community.

  • Enjoy exploring the Bay Area’s natural gems and want to preserve these places for future generations.

  • Enjoy expressing your views and opinions through different mediums and formats.

  • Want to educate other audiences about the importance of nature for our life today and into the future.

1 U.S. National Park Annual Pass and a $250 REI gift card

PLUS: The participant's work could be featured on the Greenbelt Alliance and Bay Area Youth Climate Summit websites, in one issue of Greenbelt Alliance’s monthly email newsletter, and showcased at either a physical location or virtually with conditions permitting.
