Reading is the foundation for learning and success in life. Yet, only 31% of California's 4th-graders read at grade level, and it's even worse in low-income communities.Reading Partners is looking for volunteer tutors to make a difference in the community here. Give as little as one hour per week to mentor an elementary student one-on-one for a semester or a year. Tutoring takes place Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. No experience is required - you will be supported by materials and a full-time site coordinator.
