[SEGL] Live Streams - Ethics and Leadership

Dear Friends of SEGL:

Registrations are pouring in for our (virtual) Family/Homecoming Weekend! We can't wait to see you this weekend!

If you haven't already registered, there is still time. Register here!

(Don't forget: Family/Homecoming Weekend is a great way to introduce SEGL to your friends and family. If you'd like to invite someone, please do!)

Just announced: our Fishbowl speaker will be Dr. Ndjodi Ndeunyema, a Black Namibian Rhodes Scholar who grappled with participating in Oxford's "Rhodes Must Fall" movement this past summer.

And don't forget to join us on Friday afternoon to see how our current students are navigating COVID-19! We'll livestream our in-person session with 2015 Golden Mug winner Ghaith al-Omari.

Here's the full schedule (all times Eastern; all events via SEGL TV):

Friday, 10/16

  • 3:40pm - Livestreamed Ethics & Leadership class: Fall 2020 students and 2015 Golden Mug Award winner Ghaith al-Omari

  • 8:00pm - Weekend kick-off with break-out "rooms" for individual semesters, parent groups, etc.

Saturday, 10/17

  • 2:00pm - Community Fishbowl Discussion with Dr. Ndjodi Ndeunyema, PhD

  • 3:30pm - Golden Mug award ceremony honoring Special Forces Army Captain Henry Pedersen

  • 4:00pm - Keynote conversation with former CIA Director John Brennan

Sunday, 10/18; 2pm

  • 2:00pm - State of the School conversation, including presentation from the SEGL Graduate Committee on Anti-Racism

If you are able, please consider making a donation to help defray the event's costs and to support student scholarships--an even more important need in the COVID-19 era. All who make the suggested donation will receive a complimentary, signed copy of Undaunted: My Fight Against America's Enemies, At Home and Abroad, the new memoir from our keynote speaker, John Brennan.

Thank you for your support of our school. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Noah Bopp

Founder and Head of School
