SF Symphony: Deck the Hall [Student Volunteers]

Thank you for helping us recruit student volunteers for the San Francisco Symphony’s Deck the Hall. The day will begin with a pre-performance party featuring holiday treats, games, crafts, and activities for children of all ages. Following will be a stage production featuring members of the San Francisco Symphony, special guests and an old-fashioned sing-along. This is an annual event that raises critical funds to support the two back-to-back community concerts put on the day following Deck the Hall, where over 5,000 children from San Francisco get to see the symphony for FREE! All of this cannot be done without the help of our student volunteers, the Elves! We are looking for students from grades 9-12 to help us with a variety of tasks, including arts and crafts, letters to Santa, distribute programs and generally helping us make the day run more smoothly. Deck the Hall will be held on Sunday, December 3rd from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Students will be required to work an all-day shift starting at 8:00 am and ending around or before 5:30 pm. We ask the volunteers to wear dark pants or skirts (no jeans), a white shirt, and a comfortable dark shoe. Following the event, we will provide students with written confirmation of the number of hours worked for community service credit.
