Speakeasy Storytellers: Interested in Tickets?

The Center

I am the Executive Director of SPEAKEASY STORYTELLERS. We provide workshops to schools and businesses. We perform at the Marsh in Berkeley and San Francisco.

I would also like to introduce some of the students to the Moth Storytelling competitions.

I have conducted numerous poetry and storytelling workshops in the Bay Area in the last few decades.

I have a new poetry book coming out next month- AFRICAN LOVE SONGS (IN THE KEY OF JAZZALOGIAL MUSEOETRY RHYTHM AND BLUES.

I will be performing on Mondays February 12 and 26 at the San Francisco Marsh theater with several other storytellers.

On February 12, I will be presenting a story from my solo show BACK IN THE DAY entitled THE THREE MUSKETEERS. - the story of three male cousins born within six months of one another. After losing contact in the sixties…the cousins re-unite in the eighties.

On February 26, I will present another excerpt from BACK IN THE DAY entitled THE NAT TURNER WOODS- a story of growing up with my great grandfather in Virginia.

I would be extremely pleased to conduct a poetry workshop and do poetry with my bass player at the school.

Thank you, once again. Please stay in touch.
