COVID S.A.F.E. (Shield Access For Everyone)
The goal of this project is to provide 3D printed face shields as personal protective equipment to those in need in the Bay Area. Though PPE is more available now than at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, there are many institutions that remain short on funding and have an ongoing need for PPE, especially since the vaccine rollout has been much slower than expected (2021).
NGS Vertical Garden Project The purpose of the vertical gardening project is to incorporate vertical gardening into Next Generation Scholar’s urban garden. By doing so, the amount of usable room for growing food will increase tremendously. By growing 140 more crops every 1 or 2 months, we will be able to vastly increase the amount of food given during NGS’s weekly food drives for members of the community experiencing food insecurity (2021).
Attached, please find our grant application and promotional flyer. The deadline for grant applications is February 1.
