This spring, many schools in San Francisco have resumed in-person teaching and are doing so to varying degrees. Schools and partners have been working hard to make the transition as smooth as possible— especially for the students. For CommunityGrows, we will continue teaching remotely during the summer months (with the possible exception of the BEETs following a hybrid model). We believe this will help ensure the safety and comfort of our educators, partners, and students. The extra time will also allow us to intentionally and effectively collaborate with our community partners in planning for fall classes.
We look forward to continuing to bring garden classes, cooking classes, learning kits, and teen jobs to our students throughout the summer.
