After a two-year Covid-induced hiatus, we are thrilled to announce that our hallmark Summer Internship Program (SIP) is back! For those of you who don’t know, YouthFirst offers six-week paid summer internships to qualified students entering grade 10, 11, and 12 in the fall. This year the program runs June 21-July 29. Our internship program is a great way to learn valuable on-the-job skills and gain real paid work experience. Teens are placed at one worksite for the summer, where they are assigned an on-site supervisor. We offer a wide variety of work site placements to meet teens’ diverse interests. In addition to their worksite placements, SIP participants participate in weekly professional development workshops. Our priority application deadline is Sunday, March 6. Students who apply by the priority deadline are guaranteed an interview.
