Rec and Park's Urban Agriculture and Community Gardens team is providing garden-based enrichment to support the city’s Community Hub Initiative at Betty Ann Ong, Eureka Valley, Mission and Joe Lee recreation centers this fall. Students are learning about the value of urban agriculture, how to plant seeds and cuttings, and how to care for their plants. A special thanks to our entire Urban Agriculture and Community Gardens team, as well as our Recreation staff, for providing valuable lessons to our city kids, in and outside of the classroom.
