TeenTechSF Civic Hackathon

We're excited to announce the 2020 TeenTechSF Civic Hackathon!

"Coding for COVID + COMMUNITY"

REGISTER NOW for Oct 10-11 TeenTechSF Civic Hackathon!

Join us online this weekend to create tech solutions to community problems during two action-packed days filled with workshops, panels, mentoring, PRIZES, and GIVEAWAYS at the TeenTechSF Civic Hackathon. First-time hackers are welcome and highly encouraged to participate! How can we use tech improve distance-learning, deliver groceries to seniors? Create contactless interactions? Get together to create new innovations to improve masks, track, trace, & control spread, and analyze COVID-19 data to help our communities become more resilient during these stressful times. How can we use tech to amplify youth voices as voters, influencers, and allies in the upcoming November elections? What issues are important to you and how can you use tech to bring awareness and implement solutions to those issues in our communities? People who are over 60 vote at twice the rate that people under 30 do. How can we use tech to increase civic engagement among youth?

During the TeenTechSF Civic Hackathon, participants get to hear from experienced TeenTechSF leadership, and adult allies and mentors about how to design, build, create, and pitch physical or virtual products to turn your big ideas into reality! Beginner friendly, we'll have experienced mentors on hand to help with brainstorming and coding plus workshops on website & app development, pitch development, and prototyping. Sign up with friends or we’ll help you find a team! https://2020-ttsf-civichackathon.eventbrite.com/

This year, TeenTechSF is partnering with When YOUth Vote, a youth-led fiscally sponsored nonprofit supporting youth voices and preparing young people to get involved in their communities as influencers and voters in the upcoming elections.
