The Marine Mammal Center - Stewardship Saturday

The Marine Mammal Center is a hospital for marine mammals with the mission of advancing global ocean conservation through rescue and rehabilitation, scientific research, and education. Our organization covers a range of 600 miles from San Luis Obispo to Mendocino County. One of our high school programs, Stewardship Saturday, allows high schoolers to participate in a free, monthly event to become more involved with the Center’s work and learn how to make a difference for the ocean and marine mammals. It features rotating themes exploring the science of The Marine Mammal Center, shadowing careers related to marine mammals, venturing through various natural spaces associated with marine mammals, creating action projects, and more. My goal for this year and future years is to expand this program along our entire range.

In order to improve our Stewardship Saturday program, we are conducting a survey to determine what events youth would be interested in. The survey should take less than 15 minutes and is provided in English and Spanish. We have also provided a Google Slide in English and Spanish. We will be collecting survey responses until January 31st, 2023.

The Marine Mammal Center appreciates your time and hopes to gain the opportunity to work with some of your students in the future!

Thank you!
