"MuSix on Ocean Avenue" will be premiering this Labor Day, Monday, September 6th, 2021 at 6 pm. Join us and local musicians, as we fill Ocean Avenue with music! Walk Ocean Avenue between Faxon & Miramar Avenues. Local Musicians are welcomed to play on the streets. Our featuring artists include The Karney Band and Colorblind Dilemma!

National Public Lands Day - Unity Plaza Community Clean Up

Come celebrate National Public Lands Day with us, as we volunteer to clean up Ocean Avenue's Unity Plaza. National Public Lands Day is celebrated annually to promote the popular enjoyment and volunteer conservation of public lands! Clean-up will include picking up trash and light gardening. Storefront Vandalism Relief Grant

San Francisco's Office of Economic and Workforce Development is launching their Storefront Vandalism Relief Grant Program, which will provide up to $2,000 per occurrence and a maximum of $4000 per year for small businesses that have been vandalized in 2021. Keeping Ocean Avenue Clean and Safe

The OAA has a staff cleaning Ocean Avenue daily. Their yellow vest bears our OAA logo. Our goal is to make sure we have a clean corridor to welcome shoppers. So when we see our workers, don't hesitate to stop and thank them for taking good care of our neighborhood. You will make them feel great about their job! We noticed that many front windows need some TLC. Our recommendation to welcome customers is for front windows and awnings to be washed at least once a month. In addition, a nice & simple window display is always more appealing for new visitors. For assistance, please contact pierres@oaacbd.org. We are all working together to KEEP OCEAN AVENUE CLEAN AND SAFE.

"Open the Gate" - Ingleside Library Gate

We are working on the ribbon-cutting celebration for the new Ingleside Library Gate. More information will be communicated as soon as available.

New OAA Board

Last month, a new Board of Directors and Officers were elected: Chair: Mike Sorrels, Business Owner ; Vice Chair: Jennifer Chu, Business Owner; Secretary: Shirley Lima, Property Owner; Treasurer: Henry Kevane, Community Member; Walee Gon, Property Owner; Christy Godinez-Jackson, Property Owner; Dan Casias, Property Owner; Howard Chung, Property Owner; Alberto Vasquez, Property Owner; Richard Hendry, Community Member; Tacha Santana, Community Member. The staff is looking forward to making great new steps with our new Board. Thank you to all Board Members for volunteering in helping make Ocean Avenue more vibrant.

Fleet Week on Ocean Avenue

From October 3rd - 10th, 2021

San Francisco will host the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard personnel, as well as many visitors for Fleet Week 2021. These U.S. Armed Forces members are fighting for our country constantly on the oceans of the world...let's welcome them now on San Francisco’s Ocean Avenue. The Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD), Council of District Merchants (CDMA), and San Francisco Fleet Week Association are preparing a Liberty Guide Fleet Week Mobile App for the visiting servicemembers which include event schedules, transportation options, and a comprehensive list of businesses that are providing free or discounted admissions, products or services.
