Volunteer! Be a High School Poll Worker!


The Consolidated Special Municipal Election is swiftly approaching on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, and we are still looking for high school applicants to serve as poll workers!


This is a unique opportunity for students to develop leadership skills to add to their resume, college applications, and their future as participating members of civic society. Students join other civic-minded adults at different polling locations throughout the city to serve voters on Election Day. They will learn about the democratic process, assist voting operations on site, and uphold our mission to conduct free, fair, and functional elections.

Students also gain 15 hours of community service hours and a stipend of $180 (+20 for bilingual status).


Requirements

∙ Be a US citizen or legal permanent resident ∙ Be at least 16 years old on Election Day, February 15, 2022 ∙ Have at least a 2.5 GPA ∙ Have permission from parent/guardian ∙ Complete an online training session ∙ Serve the full day from 6AM-9PM on Election Day, February 15, 2022 Bilingual ability not required, but we highly encourage students who can speak another language to apply! ∙ Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination


Per San Francisco’s current COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, poll workers serving City elections are mandated to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. If a student plans to serve as a poll worker in the February 15, 2022 election, we ask that they provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination otherwise be ineligible to serve.
