Volunteer Opportunity: Walk to End Alzheimer's

Our community partners, Alzheimer's Association, are reaching out to you in preparation of the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's in San Francisco.  This year's walk is set for Saturday, November 9th at the new Ferry Terminal at Pier 27.  As a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association, I am asking for your help.

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide and 18 locations in our region.

This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. They are in need of volunteers to assist on event day and help in the areas of registration and advocacy.  Volunteers on event day will collect signatures from participants to learn more about Trial Match as well as signatures to show our members of Congress how many people in their district care about Alzheimer's.

At the registration area, they are looking for volunteers to register walkers that have raised funds for this great event.

Please take a look at your calendars, invite your friends and family and let's join this movement to End Alzheimer's at Pier 27 on November 9th.  It's just 2 months away.

You can either contact me or Tessie Calligeros at tcalligeros@alz.org for more information.

Please forward this information to any groups or organizations you may think will find this of interest.

Best Regards,

Mayoli Badoni
