Compass is excited to introduce a new Partnership with Broadway SF for this year’s holiday production of A Christmas Carol at the Golden Gate Theatre.
At each performance of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, a direct appeal from the stage ('breaking the fourth wall' for my fellow theatre nerds) will be made by Scrooge on behalf of Compass Family Services.
Following each performance of the 100-minute production, Compass Family Services staff & volunteers will stand at the exits to collect donations. 100% of the donations will benefit Compass Family Services! This is a wonderful opportunity to represent Compass and the important work we do for families experiencing or at risk of homelessness in San Francisco.
Please read the following information and then scroll down to sign up for this opportunity. The Volunteer role:
A minimum of 6 Compass representatives will be needed per performance.
Each volunteer may bring ONE guest.
Volunteers and their guests will be seated at the rear of the theatre to enjoy the entire show as the guests of Broadway SF
All volunteers and their guests must be fully vaccinated (meaning they received their second dose at least 2 weeks prior to performance date) in order to participate.
Proof of vaccination is required at the theatre doors;
Masks must be worn at all times inside the theatre.
Volunteers may enjoy the entire production, and at the curtain call when Scrooge makes his appeal on behalf of Compass Family Services, volunteers will make their way to the exit doors where they will collect donations on behalf of Compass
A Volunteer Lead and Co-Lead is needed for each performance to count the funds collected and make sure they are locked in the Compass lockbox that will remain in the Theatre Manager’s office.
(We are working on branded apparel, so volunteers can represent Compass with logo wear) The Performances: November 26 – December 26 (no performance December 25) Matinees: 12:30 arrival for 1pm curtain Evenings: 7:00 PM arrival for 7:30 curtain (except 12/26 6:00 arrival, 6:30 curtain.
