YMCA High School Civic Engagement Program: Youth and Government

The YMCA of San Francisco is excited to announce the return of our high school civic engagement program: Youth and Government. All youth from 9th-12th grade are welcome to participate. Youth and Government delegates learn the principles of citizenship, leadership, and democracy, along with the Y's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Youth delegates meet weekly to discuss current news, deepen their understanding of civic engagement, practice the legislative process and prepare for events and conferences.

Our Teen Leadership Conference will be in December and our Bill Hearing Night will be at City Hall in March.
