An online conversation with the three young people who organized two of the largest protests against police brutality in the wake of the murder of George Floyd. Xavier Brown and Akil Riley of Oakland, both 19 years old, planned a gathering that went viral and brought 15,000 people together through the streets of Oakland. In the same week, Simone Jacques of San Francisco, just 17 years old, organized an even larger protest in the Mission District. These inspiring youth will be in conversation with our HRC colleague, Veronica Garcia. MoAD website program info Facebook event info
