We offer free year-round programming for San Francisco public high school students. Each session, YAX has visual, performing, and technical arts classes that meet multiple times each week.
We are now accepting students for our Spring 2022 FREE arts classes (planned to meet in person) for San Francisco public high school students! Priority applications are due January 19; early applications are highly encouraged. However, we still accept applications after January 19, so apply and we’ll reach out!
We are offering the following classes for the Spring 2022 session:
Advanced Architecture Firm* (earn a stipend!) – this is a year-long program, we will be accepting new applications Fall 2022

Darkroom Photography
Illustration + Music Production
Printmaking
Fashion Design
IMPORTANT SPRING DATES:
Priority application deadline: Wednesday, January 19
Orientation: Wednesday, January 26
First day of class: Monday, January 31 or Tuesday, February 1
No class: Monday, February 21 (President’s Day)
No class: Monday, March 28–Friday, April 1 (Spring Break)
Spring Exhibition: Saturday, May 7
Last day of program: Wednesday, May 11
